I drew a butterfly on my wrist
And named it after you.
Knowing that it would soon fade
In about a day or two.
For three weeks I have waited,
For it to fly away.
Hoping that it wouldnt die
When I cut my troubles away....
But for three weeks I have been strong,
And managed without the steel.
I hope that for the butterflys sake
I find a better way to heal.
And named it after you.

So, Today I really wanted to harm myself.
I was in a fit of rage and I was digging for something sharp.
I found instead a note with a butterfly on it.
I remembered the butterfly project....
The butterfly projet is a self injury project where instead of cutting you draw a butterfly where you want to cut. After you draw it you name it after someone you love, or someone who wants you to recover. You then have to wait for the butterfly to wash off (On its own, without scrubbing) Before you cut . If you cut while the butterfly is still there it dies. You keep doing this until you no longer need to cut, or dont think about it.
It is fantastically helpfull, And if you are in a similar situation I think that it would be worth a try.
As for who I named it after, I named it after mongoose man. Because I know that I would never do anything to hurt him... And killing his butterfly would.....
